Then my ‘perfect’ world—relationship, kids, family support, cash in the bank, investment properties, great jobs—fell apart. Think the worst stuff you can imagine and it happened. Domestic abuse, a father who abandoned me, my mother reappearing after 30 years with revelations about my childhood, a custody battle. It was a lot.
Eight years of pain and grief almost overwhelmed me, but the support of a spiritual community (I found mine in India) and my choice to stand as myself authentically every day forged me into a warrior woman. I withstood lies, injustices, betrayal, while healing my heart and life.
